President - Eli Meyer:

My role with SiGBA began in 2006 to help develop SiGBA's website. Over the last 2 years as president of SiGBA, I've managed the production of our resource guide, grown membership to over 200, directed the development of our online membership directory, and worked with our board to finish the year with enough funding to expand our programs promoting green building in the Sierra. In 2009 I plan to build on the success of our resource guide, continue progress towards establishing a building material reuse facility, and develop our educational programs for K-12, college, and training for professionals.

Vice President - David Gemme:
Hi my name is David Gemme (Gem). I am interested in a board member position for Vice President. Here is a brief summary of my credentials. I started my pursuit in Green Building by attending a self direct study program at Humboldt State University in 1993. My major consisted of Environmental Science, Appropriate Technologies/Sustainable design, and Recreation administration. I have grown up in the construction industry, I have spent the last 5 years of my life running a successful business in Real Estate and marketing/promotions, and I have been living green technologies in my life for well over the past 15 years. I love the direction that SiGBA and this industry is moving and would enjoy being more involved in the process. Thank you for considering me for this board position.

Treasurer - Ian Waight:
Ian has been active with SiGBA for over three years, as board seat, Treasurer, during 2008. He plans to remain an active Board member for 2009. Not only does Ian hold an important role in seeing that SiGBA stays true to their budget and overseeing finances, but he also acts as liaison between SiGBA and other local non-profit organization, CATT (Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe) which he is also an active member of. SiGBA will greatly benefit from the continuing work and support from Ian Waight as Treasurer in 2009.

Secretary:  Please contact us at info@sigba.org if you are interested in taking on this role in 2009

Events Chair - Leanna Duncan:

On November 15th I will be fulfilling a long anticipated dream of mine by expanding my Interior Design firm to the Tahoe Area from San Diego.  I am a motivated, creative, enthusiastic team player whose deepest passion revolves around positively influencing people's lives through design. My background in design has meant working closely in teams to bring my client's visions to reality with uncompromised attention to schedules, budget, and details.  In 2006, I graduated at the top of my class from the Art Institute of California-San Diego with a Bachelor's of Science in Interior Design and before 2009 I will be a LEED AP.  Dedicated to Green Design, I feel part of my purpose in life is to educate others about the importance of living green and how to accomplish that- and this is why I would be honored to be a part of this organization.

Foothills Chair - Jim Crowley:

I am running to serve on the Board of SiGBA for the Foothills Chair position. I have voluntarily been serving as the chair of the group in the Grass Valley area since January of 2008, that through SiGBAs efforts, decided to form a local green building association and has since been adopted by SiGBA as the Foothills Chapter.  I would be honored to serve another term as the Foothills Chair to help the Foothills Chapter to grow and become a larger presence within SiGBA.
