Vice President

A native cheese-head; at the age of 22, upon completion of her Bachelor of Science, Architectural Studies from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, packed her Jetta for the trek across country to the sunny state of California!

Despite the lack of truly delicious cheese, Beth quickly found this new home quite fitting. With her two older brothers around for encouragement, Beth lived the "ski bum" life, for a few months, anyway. After a while of couch surfing (and student loan figures began looming overhead) she found herself forcing her way into the lives of Gaunt-Zimmer Design (then called Gaunt-Sommer Design) to start working towards her life-long dream of becoming an architect. Her perseverance worked; Beth has been with GZD for over a year now!

It was at the SIGBA annual mixer of '06 that Beth signed up on the "events volunteer" list, and has since been working with the events committee to help with such happenings as the Permiculture Workshop, Speaker Series and Home Tours!

Beth is extremely passionate about sustainability on a global level. She sees it as not only a philosophy for building practices, but lifestyles as well. She is committed to forever furthering her knowledge and understanding of this philosophy and practice, and doing all that she can to better the environment for all around her.
