There are a variety of ways to volunteer due to the diversity of projects and programs SiGBA is involved in.
Events Committee:
Speaker Series Team:Contact and secure presenters, venues, and coordinate publicity for monthly events.
Mixer & Socials Team: Plan and organize social mixers.
Green Symposium Team: Plan and organize annual 2008 Green Symposium
Home & Commercial Tours:Plan and organize spring and fall home tours.
Sustainability Committee:
Chair position available, upcoming elections
Resource Guide Group:
Ad Sales Team: sell advertising spots.
Case Study Team:
research and write case studies.
Content Editors:
review content for grammatical errors.
Technical Review Committee: review content for technical accuracy.
Membership Group:
Membership Database Team: Review needs and develop SiGBA's database system.
Renewal Team: Contact expired members
Membership Packets Team: Assembly and distribution.
Marketing / PR Group:
Press Release Coordinator: Create and distribute SiGBA press releases.
Marketing Coordinator: Review SiGBA's marketing needs and propose improvements
Layout/Design Coordinator:Produce flyers, media ads, etc.
Website Group:
Web-Ad Support Team:Develop and grow online member advertising program. Update web ads and membership pages.
Web-Content Support Team:
Review and maintain website content and functionality. Integrate content produced for the resource guides.

Join any one or all of our SiGBA Yahoo Groups. Upon joining, please post your first post introducing yourself and telling us a little about yourself: your background, what drew you to SiGBA, what kind of volunteer position you are looking for, your skillsets and anything else we can use to steer you to a committee where you will be assured you will enjoy what you are doing. Currently, most of our yahoo groups have limited discussions in them, but as the season picks up, the discussions will also pick up.
If you don't see a volunteering opportunity that quite fits you, join the main SiGBA Yahoo group and tell us what you'd prefer to do. We are always looking for motivated people with great ideas to help out.
