The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) is California's most important environmental law. It requires public agencies, like the Town of Truckee and Placer County, to evaluate the environmental consequences of their actions and prevent adverse environmental impacts where feasible. CEQA will play a major role in how the Town considers proposed development at Canyon Springs, PC-1, PC-3 and elsewhere as well as how Placer County
considers development at the Donner Summit.
