We have a great opportunity that closely aligns with our meeting time. The National League of Cities Team of twelve cities will be coordinating a webinar on youth employment using the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) dollars in the area of Green Employment. I know this a big topic currently in our community. The Webinar begins at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19 at 1150 Matley Lane in the Tahoe Room. I have arranged for the webinar hook up in the Tahoe Room which is a few doors down from the Education Alliance Conference Room.

If this is of interest to you or any of your colleagues who are currently working to provide training, education alignment with higher education please feel free to join the Webinar at 11:00 am AND FORWARD THIS INVITATION TO ANY OTHERS WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED. The City of Reno was selected for this very special Technical Assistance grant and this will be the 3rd in a series of Webinars that provide insight, guidance, foreshadowing of future WIA efforts in the area of youth employment as well as creative programs happening in the other 11 cities.
