The EcoTahoe Story
ECO Tahoe, or Ecological Construction Offices Tahoe, was founded by Brook Igleheart and his wife Erica Mirich Igleheart in response to concerns about the future of the residential construction industry.
A life long environmentalist, Brook, felt that it his obligation as a licensed contractor to incorporate earth and people friendly building materials and practices into his business.
Our mission is to provide green building materials and technologies to create healthy home environments.
As a part of our commitment to environmentally responsible building, we have also added the service of reclaiming premium vintage wood and timbers. Recycling these magnificent pieces of wood saves them from a tragic end in the dump or in a burn pile and gives them new life in your home or personal project. |

Brook Igleheart, owner of ECO Tahoe, has been working in luxury custom home construction for the last 20 years. Project history includes homes in Squaw Valley, Tahoe City, Agate Bay, Incline Village, Truckee, Lahontan, Donner Lake, Pebble Beach, and Marin County. Please see some of our recent projects listed below.
Ronda Road Pebble Beach, CA- Custom home rebuild. Project included design and build of a 2600sq ft complete home remodel. All structural work, plumbing, electric, appliances, cabinets, floors, fixtures, decks were rebuilt to custom luxury standards. 1300 sq ft of custom designed ipe (ironwood) decking, custom built-ins, home generator and out building.
Lost Trail Lodge Truckee, CA- Custom carpentry on log timbers and structural framing for the 4000sq ft backcountry lodge.
Winding Creek Drive Olympic Valley, CA- Kitchen renovation and 1000 sq.ft. deck remodel.
Alder Drive Truckee, CA- Custom 2500 sq.ft. remodel including rebuild of kitchen and baths, master suite, flooring, custom timber accents, custom decks construction. |

We are proud of our new partnership with Advanced Frameworks. We are offering structural framing for large custom homes. The service includes complete computer modeling prior to construction which allows resolution of design discrepancies and the information necessary to construct complicated houses quickly and efficiently with little to no waste. We can't emphasize enough the importance of preventing mistakes and using the most effective building technologies in your custom
construction project. Each wall is drawn before it is built ensuring absolute accuracy and labor efficiency.

Timbers & Barnwood
In our quest to use sustainable and enduring resources we are proud to be offering recycled vintage timbers and reclaimed wood accents.
Brook recently traveled through the West and Midwest locating barns ready for reuse in the Tahoe area. He returned with a limited load of 12"x12" White Oak sawn timbers with grey patina, a few 8"x8" mantles and some windfall Cherry for sale or use in your project.
He also returned with a passion for keeping these beautiful woods out of the burn pile and giving them new life.
Please call us for specialty wood orders. If it is out there, we are pretty sure we can get it for you! We have excellent local and remote contacts for many varieties of reclaimed woods.
